  • Schedule the upgrade after making sure that all implications of the upgrade are fully understood.

Perform the Upgrade

The upgrade process depends on your installation environment:

Upgrade Plesk (Major Versions)

RPM Based Linux Distributions

When you upgrade Plesk between major versions (for example from Plesk 9.5 to Plesk 10.3), due to the dependencies between RPM packages it might be necessary to remove the OXtender from your server. To make sure that you do not remove other settings as well, execute the following command in the shell prompt:

After you upgrade Plesk to the new version, you can also upgrade OXtender to the latest compatible version using the 4PSA Plesk Installer as described in the RPM Capable Linux Distributions section.

Debian and FreeBSD

It is not required to remove OXtender before upgrading Plesk.

After you upgrade Plesk to the new version, you can also upgrade OXtender to the latest compatible version as described in the Debian and FreeBSD section.
