This short guide is meant to assist Linux administrators in managing VoipNow servers through easy-to-follow instructions and examples. It documents how to set up a VoipNow server, describing ways to protect it using simple access rules, the changes you have to make in Postfix configuration in order to use email2fax, as well as other small configurations that will allow you to manage your system and debug some other problems.

Required Knowledge and Skills
In most cases, VoipNow is installed on top of CentOS 5 or 6 and supports both architectures, 32 and 64 bits. It can also be installed on RHEL. A distributed installation requires a 64 bits CentOS/RHEL 6 architecture, but you can read more about it here.
To make the best use of this service, you need to have:
- Basic understanding of the VoipNow functionality and terminology
- Good understanding of web services and how they can be used in the chosen programming language
