This article explains how to modify the password of a phone terminal extension on a VoipNow server.

Step-by-step guide

If the phone password is by default the extension account's web interface login password, you can change it by taking the following steps:

STEP 1: Log in to the VoipNow web interface with your login and password.

STEP 2: Go to Extensions in the main menu and then select your phone terminal extension from the list.

STEP 3: Click on Edit extension in Telephony section. Enter the new password in the Password and Confirm password fields.

Note

Note that you need to change the password on the devices registered on the current extension.

In case the phone devices are configured using the provisioning system, make sure the configuration files are regenerated after changing the password.
