Background

Ibercom is a full telecommunications operator based in Spain. They offer a complete range of telecom services, from TDM or Voip interconnection to cloud PBX. Also, the company provides network services (DSL, VPN, etc.). Owining two data centres in different locations within Spain, they offer all kinds of hosting services.

Ibercom focuses on the B2B market exclusively, their 5000+ customers vary from small businesses to enterprises listed in the IBEX 35 index.

Telecom operator Ibercom offers full telecommunications.
As the operator of operators, Ibercom gives transit service and voice termination to both large and small operators wishing to deliver phone calls with destinatoin in Spain.
Having a data center of its own and a highly experienced and cohesive team, Ibercom offers hosting to suit every need.

The challenge

After a few years providing "classic" telephone services, mainly carrier preselection (CSO), Ibercom decided to jump into the Voip world. Mainly, what they required was a solution to implement virtual PBX environments that could be rebranded for our different sales channel partners.

Staff were quite used to the Parallels Plesk suite of products for hosting, so with Voipnow being one of their partners, they considered it mandatory to evaluate. The technical team also did some Google research combined with some personal comments from colleagues, in order to have a wider product base to evaluate.

They evaluated a few technology providers and decided to lease with Voipnow as it was the "most complete at the moment". They still consider it that way to this day.

Implemented Solution

Ibercom owns 20+ VoipNow dedicated servers, re-branded for different local operators. The company has 96 clients and a total of over 1000 extensions which include phone terminals, queues, IVR and voicemail.
While they still offer PSTN telephony telephony, Ibercom's services list has expanded. Today, they have direct internet telephony customers that benefit of Cloud PBX and SIP trunking and do business with white brand resellers to which they offer hosted virtual PBX servers. Their offered cloud services also include hosting, internet access and networking.

Plans for the future involve extend termination business internationally. This is to be approached in two main ways: delivering services to local telephone companies that address their services to foreign residents in Spain, and also trying to open to international carriers that have links with Spain and need good termination services within Spain.
