Managing the Access Policy
DNS Manager lets you to set up an access policy for admin level users.
Overview
To access the Access policy page, click the Access button. There are two types of access policies:
- Deny
When this policy is configured, you cannot log in to the DNS Manager interface if your computer's IP is listed in thedenylist. All the other IPs that are not included in thedenylist can access the interface with an administrator account.""
This is the policy configured by default.
- Allow When this policy is configured, you can only log in to the DNS Manager interface if your computer's IP address is listed in the
allowlist. All the other IPs that are not included in theallowlist cannot access to the interface with an administrator account.""
You cannot set up both types of policies at the same time.
Switching between Access Policies
To switch from the Deny (default) policy to the Allow policy follow the steps below:
- The Access policy page displays the heading
Access policy is deny for all networks below. Click the Switch to allow button. Otherwise, jump to the next step. - Click the Add network button. A new page will open where you can enter the subnet or IP addresses to which you want to grant access.
To switch from the Allow policy to the Deny policy follow the steps below:

Access policy is allow for all networks below. Click the Switch to deny button. Otherwise, jump to the next step. - Click the Add network button. A new page will open where you can enter the subnet or IP addresses you want to block.
Adding Allowed or Denied Networks
After setting the access policy, you need to add networks to the list of allowed networks. Here's how:
- Click the Add network button. A new page will open where you can enter the subnet or IP addresses to which you want to allow access.
- Use the + / - buttons to add several subnet or IP addresses at the same time.
- Click OK to add the IP(s) to the allow list. Click Cancel to go back to the previous page without saving this configuration.
To remove a subnet or IP address from the allow list, select its corresponding checkbox and click the Remove selected link at the top of the table. You will be asked to confirm the removal.
