Applies to VoipNow 3 and higher!

The Follow-me feature enables an incoming call to be received on several other internal and external numbers whenever the owner of the destination extension is not available. In VoipNow, this feature has been integrated into the Transfer to incoming call rule. This article explains how to enable the Follow-Me feature on a VoipNow extension.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the Incoming call rule icon in the Telephony area.
  2. Configure the options available in the Add Incoming Call Rules section as described below:

[Transfer to] number(s) [the_number_to_transfer_the_call_to] and ring these from [30] seconds when CallerID [is any]/[Matches]/[Does not match]number/[Is anonymous] and call is in time interval [Anytime]. [Also call] extension <extension number that holds the ICR>. Add in position [1] with key [01].

The newly added rule is now active.

If you want to disable it, you can either use the interface by selecting the icon available in the S column or dial *7401 from the phone keypad (01 is the key set for the rule). If you wish to enable it, just dial *7401 again.
