Overview

To reach the System Authentication pagethe System Authentication page, go the the Unified Communications in in the side menu and click the the System Authentication icon icon under the Monitoring the Monitoring area.  All All preferences included here apply to all system users.

There are two policy types:

  • Deny:  According to this policy, the administrator is not allowed to log in to the VoipNow interface if their computer IP is included in the the Deny list list. All the other IPs that are not included in the the Deny list list can access the interface using the administrator account.
  • Allow: According to this policy, the administrator can only log in to the VoipNow interface if their computer IP address is included in

Allow or deny network

To add allowed or denied networks to the system:

  1. Click the the Access icon icon in the the Tools area area.
  2. From the drop-down list, choose to allow or deny access for subnet or IP address.  Specify Specify if you want to allow or to deny access for the subnet or IP address filled in the first text box. Use the second text box to specify the position of the address inside the networks list.
  3. Add several subnet or IP addresses.  Use the Use the +/- buttons buttons to add several subnet or IP addresses at the same time.
  4. Click OK Click OK to add the IP(s) to the the Allow/Deny list list.  To To go back to the previous page without submitting the changes, click click Cancel.

Remove networks

To remove a network:

  1. Select the network from the table and click the the Remove selected link link on top of the table.
  2. To finalize the removal, click click OK.  To To return to the previous page without removing the network, click click Cancel.

Search for network

  1. Enter the name of the template in the text box located at the top of the table.
  2. Click the the Search button button.  The The system will remember the search criteria when a new search is performed and even after the user logs out.

All networks added to the system are displayed in a table showing the following columns:

  • N:  The network's order number.
  • A:  The network's permission: allowed/denied.
  • P:  Change the position of a certain network inside the list using the up/down icons.
  • IP:  The network's IP address.
  • Mask:  The network's subnet mask.

When you change the order of networks in the table, VoipNow displays the number of changes you have performed reminding you to save them before leaving the page.  In In the top left corner of the network list, VoipNow displays <x> changes <x> changes pending in the rules order.  Click the Click the Apply changes link link to save the changes you have performed in the network list.
