Applies to VoipNow 3.5!

There are cases when you want to find out if the person that placed a calls is the real owner of the extension. To do that you need to identify the source IP of the phone that initiated the call.

Step-by-step guide

It is assumed that you are using a CentOS 6.x, CentOS 7.x and you have latest version of VoipNow 3.5 installed. 

  1. Go to the Reports → Call reports page.
  2. Click on Show Columns and check Caller IP.
  3. The IP of the phone that started the call should show up in reports.

The Caller IP information is only available for the Admin level.
