This area contains all the necessary requirements for your DNS Manager deployment.


Minimum hardware requirements

Hardware requirements are strongly related to the expected load. MySQL server and PHP front-end interface are the most intensive components on a DNS Manager server.

We recommend quality server hardware with redundant storage system.

Here are the minimum system requirements:

  • Intel x86 compatible PC server 2Ghz clock speed
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 36 GB RAID storage system
  • 100 MB/s network card

4PSA DNS Manager is compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Update or newer (x86_64)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Update 6 or newer (x86_64)
  • CentOS 7.1 (x86_64)
  • CentOS 6.6 (x86_64)

Hardware recommendations

The OS vendor recommends the following systems. For updated information it is advisable to check Red Hat Hardware Catalog.

Virtualization

DNS Manager is designed to be used in virtualized environments and we recommend you to always install VoipNow on a virtualized infrastructure.

DNS Manager was tested with the following hypervisors: VMware ESXi, Xen, KVM.

DNS Manager also supports Virtuozzo container technology.
