Public Cloud Deployment
VoipNow can be deployed on major public cloud platforms. This guide covers installation and upgrade procedures for public cloud environments.

If you want to skip reading this document, you can deploy a supported operating system on your cloud provider and use the Command Line Installer. It provides adequate support for all environments.
Compatibility
Operating System
VoipNow is compatible with the following Linux distributions:
- AlmaLinux 8 (x86_64)
- Rocky Linux 8 (x86_64)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (x86_64) (subscription required)
Virtualization
All public cloud services use virtualization. VoipNow is designed to take advantage of server virtualization techniques and works seamlessly in these environments.
Installation
VoipNow can be deployed on the following public cloud platforms:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Deploy VoipNow using the Amazon AMI Installation guide
- Microsoft Azure - Deploy VoipNow using the Azure Cloud Deployment guide
- Google Cloud Platform - Deploy VoipNow using the GCP Cloud Deployment guide
For other cloud providers, deploy a supported operating system and use the Command Line Installer.

Upgrade
Plan the Upgrade
To guarantee the success of a system upgrade, make sure you:
- Review the Release Notes - Make sure that all software improvements are clear. If you need further details, do not hesitate to contact 4PSA Support.
- Test the new version - If you upgrade from an old version, it's always a good idea to install VoipNow on a test environment and make sure that it works as expected.
- Schedule the upgrade - Because the software upgrade might temporarily affect services, it is highly recommended to perform the upgrade outside business hours.
Perform the Upgrade
To upgrade VoipNow, you can either:
- Execute the Command Line Installer on your server
- Schedule the upgrade from the VoipNow web management interface
