VoipNow Upgrade Notes

This document describes important things to consider when upgrading to the latest VoipNow release.

Upgrade to VoipNow 5.7.0

DANGER

Breaking Changes

Chat Removed

Chat interface and related services have been removed. Do NOT upgrade if you use chat functionality.

Elasticsearch Removed

Call quality statistics are no longer available.

AVX CPU Required

The installer requires a CPU with AVX support.

Supported Operating Systems

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8()
- AlmaLinux 8
- Rocky Linux 8

No other Linux distributions are supported.

Please follow the upgrade steps described in the Command Line Installer page

WARNING

The upgrade steps are specific for upgrading Voipnow 5.x servers to 5.7. For servers running Voipnow < 5.x please contact support.
