Hardware requirements are strongly related to the expected number of users and utilization scenarios, like number of concurrent calls, codec usage etc.

Requirements

Generally, hardware nodes should be deployed having these requirements in mind:

  • Intel Xeon or AMD Epyc compatible CPU. Minimum 12 cores, AES-NI instruction support is mandatory.
  • 32 GB of RAM
  • 480 GB storage system, SSD backed, fault-tolerant (database storage)
  • 1 TB files storage (not necessary with cloud object storage)
  • 1 Gbps networking

In case of virtualization, we highly recommend to not over-provision RAM and CPU and have at least 1/3 reservation.

The following partitioning scheme is recommended:

PartitionSpace
/boot1024 MB
/tmp4096 MB
/Minimum 300 GB
/dataMinimum 1 TB, not required with cloud object storage

OS Vendor HCL

The OS vendor recommends the following systems. For updated information, please check the Red Hat Hardware Catalog.
